UK Amateur Pole Performer is in its third
year, we would like to thank everyone who has supported UKAPP in previous years
and helped to make such an exciting, fair and encouraging competition for all
the amateur pole dancers out there. We pride ourselves in giving amateur pole
dancers the opportunity to perform and compete in front of their friends,
families, fellow dancers and professional performers.
UKAPP is solely for amateur performers as the
title suggests, you cannot enter
UKAPP if you have ever been paid to perform as a professional, which includes
but is not limited to;
Pole Dance Instructor (paid or not) Exotic/Lap dancers/Strippers Podium/Go-go dancers You must not have entered a competition at
professional level
If you have any doubts over your suitability
for the competition contact the organizers immediately. If you are found to
have entered unfairly you will be disqualified.
This Year the Competition will consist of 5 regional
heats and a grand final. Regional Heats will consist of 3 Levels
. The winner from each section in the regional heats will go through
to the final.
We will be adding an additional category this
year, DOUBLES.
We
will be offering an additional place in the final for the best
overall performance of the night at each heat, this will be chosen by
the judges on which performance they enjoyed the most so make them
fun no matter what level.
Applications All entrants are required to pay a £10
deposit when submitting their application forms. Applications will only be
accepted when application forms are completed fully along with their deposit. The £10 deposit will be returned the day
after the heat that the applicant is competing in, or for finalists the day
after the final. If you cancel your place for any reason or do
not show up to your heat then UKAPP will retain your deposit to cover
administration costs.
UKAPP has decided to take deposits following
a number of last minute cancellations in previous years.
As this is for Amateurs
we will be checking all entrance before accepting.

The
Performer: Level 1
This level is for any amateur. However long
they have been dancing, they will be judged on costume, spins and
dance. THE MORE OUTRAGEOUS THE BETTER THE MARK.
This needs
to be a fun routine with lots of transitions and spins. Intermediate
and advanced tricks will not be marked in this group. This is
purely a performance group. Markings will be on: Costume,
Theme, Fluidity, Spin Smoothness, Dance Routine, Crowd interaction,
Fun Factor.
The
Intermediate: Level 2
This level is for those slightly more
advanced. Open to any amateur, you will be marked on tricks. This
category is for students who are intermediate. The following
tricks are not to be included; Death Lay, Knee Hold, Super Hold,
Split Holds, Straight Edge, Hand Spring or equivalent level
move.
You will be marked on: Trick smoothness, fluidity,
proficiency ( no point in doing a trick if it’s not perfect
) Dance, Fun factor, Ability to transition the moves.
The
Expert: Level 3
Anything Goes This section will be marked
on TRICKS, fun factor, Fluidity, overall tricks and dance
transitions. You will be marked on everything you do...
Doubles:
This special category is exclusive for 2011. There will
be one pole. The main rule for this category is that both dancers must perform
at least 3 tricks/holds/spins on the pole at the same time. Anything goes. You
will be marked on Fun factor, overall trick skills, confidence, fluidity of
routine, Costume/theme, crowd interaction, dancer interaction/teamwork and
dance routine. The marks will be based on both performers, not individually.
All footwear and
barefoot are permitted
Each
person who enters will be checked ( Please do not be offended )
unfortunately to make this fair we will be asking for proof of non
performances.
If
any competitor has been found to enter untruthfully they will be
disqualified.
